About LILY

Lily is a daydreaming child, and has been ever since she was born. Every class she would draw in every notebook, overcrowding them, and daydream about future story ideas from elementary school to college. Lily loves to make others laugh, she loves cut spaghetti, salmon, and of course, LOTS AND LOTS OF PAPER. ( To crumple up from artblock? Lol. )

About Ribon

Hmm….now that’s a good question.

Ribon is a story purely from imagination, the main character herself being thought up of in 2007.

Ribon is a pseudo sport with the components of, basically ice skating and rhythmic gymnastics ( Ribbon of course ). I also wanted to incorporate the use of the beauty of God’s promise; a rainbow. Just replace the ice and insert the ribbons and custom rules, and ta-dah! You’ve got Ribon.

If you want to play, you will become a skater who will then get special skates.  These skates have discs similar to the ones you scan into computers, only oddly shaped, and located at the bottom of the skates.

They scan the ribbons, which are holographic and programmed at different speeds. You must be trained for these speeds.

Now…time for some terminology!

Terminology

Ribon Skater - What many hope to achieve when wanting to join Ribon.

Pinch Straw - What is needed once forms are filled out. A pinch straw is a clear tube that must be lightly pinched in order to see your rank’s color.

30 minutes – Purple Rank

An hour – Indigo Rank

An hour and 30 minutes – Blue Rank

2 hours – Green Rank

2 hours and 30 minutes – Yellow Rank

3 hours – Orange Rank

5 hours – Red Rank ( Lowest of the low )

Ranks

( Getting these colors don’t mean anything really, since anyone can improve. )

Red Rank – The lowest of ALL the ranks. 50% of the usual outcome. Many give up hope of joining Ribon once they get this rank.

Orange Rank – Second lowest rank. 29% chance. Just getting this color gets people to stay in the game.

Yellow Rank – 10% chance.

Green Rank – 5% chance.

Blue Rank – 3% chance.

Indigo Rank – 2% chance.

Purple Rank – 1% chance.

Process to become a Ribon Skater

1. Fill out the signup forms and obtain pinch straw.

2. Check color and begin an interview process after obtaining Photo and ID. To become a ribon skater, you must interview over 30 current ribon skaters.

3.  Attend two mandatory sessions, then you’ll get assigned to a temporary color class for two weeks.

4. Successfully participate in games if you pass the trials of the temporary class. If you do not pass, you’ll have to retake the 2 week classes.

The classes will cost money the higher the rank. You will be given skates, but your winnings will be subtracted of the skates’ price if you participate in the games.
